Update

The bear hasn't come back, thank goodness. Our neighbor contacted the wildlife and game people and they've come out and put out a bear trap. Apparently the black bears should have hibernated by now and since ours obviously hasn't, he might be a bit more dangerous than the others. Hopefully he has figured out it's nighty night time for a while-and that he needs to move on to a new location.

Here's a couple pictures of Sydney from today

Heading out to pick up the Cam man-Syd loves her boots and would wear them every day if I would let her. The problem is they are a tad big so she tends to trip a little more often.

Last minute milk time before bedtime
Cheese!!!

Apparently this shirt is a bit small-I had a very hard time getting it off over Syd's head tonight, of course she thought it was the funniest thing.

This got me thinking, how long have we had this shirt? I started searching through the online albums and sure enough, it's from last October. With exception to the too-tight neckline, it still fits. Definitely an advantage of having a small kid, she wears her clothes forever! Here she is last October, just a few days before she started walking all by herself.

The hat is the new black

Sydney is still in love with her hats. She's such a warm kid already I am surprised she keeps it on as long as she does. She only takes them off for a bath and dinner. Silly girl.

The Cameron sandwich (where do kids come up with this? Hilarious!)

Happy Days

Here are some pictures today of Sydney and Cameron. They have so much fun together! Cameron is like Sydney's big brother, she thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Cameron thinks Syd is pretty cool too.

Here they are doing their "happy face!" Last week Sydney kept saying, "Happy days" and grinning a big huge grin. It took me a few minutes to realize she was saying, "happy face."

When I ask Sydney where her happy face is, she points to her mouth and says, "it's right here."

About the hat....Sydney is normally not a fan of the hats, but today I put one on her when we picked up Cam from school and she didn't want to take it off. I finally got it off her while feeding her dinner because she spilled food all over it. Silly girl. She also wore her tiara for part of the night tonight. She is all about the dress up right now.

A couple more pictures

Here are two pictures from a couple days ago I forgot to post-they were too cute not to post!

Here is Syd sporting her new Crocs. Gram-o brought these for her and she loves them, especially because she can put them on herself.

And here is one of Syd and Gram-o coloring. I thought this was cute because Sydney had to lay down on the floor just like Gram-o.

Pictures from the rest of the weekend

Here are some pictures from the rest of our holiday. We had a lot of fun with Eddie, Alisa, Gram-O and Pop-O!

We avoided the malls on black Friday and hung out in Kirkland instead.
If you look past Beverly's right shoulder you will see the Washington state governor, Christine Gregoire dining with her daughters.

Checking out the trains at the train store

The "other" Italian motorcycle, the Ducati.

Eddie celebrated his birthday last month and Alisa and Anthony are celebrating their birthdays in the next couple of weeks so we had a birthday party!

We made a gingerbread house! Sydney "supervised" (i.e. she ate M&M's) while Beverly and I built the house, but Sydney did decorate some of the gingerbread men. She did really well and had fun.

Sydney decorated this man all by herself! (With exception to the frosting.)

Nice house huh? This was a lot of fun. Both Anthony and I made gingerbread houses as kids, so it was fun to re-live this as adults. Of course we didn't have the Costco kit as kids, our moms actually made it all by scratch!

And here's what happens after Sydney ate all those M&M's-she put on her kitty towel, a car bib, grabbed her "purse" (her chalk container) and dragged around a yo-yo. It was pretty funny, what a character.

Time for a haircut!

Gram-o is an expert bang trimmer, so we put her right to work on Sydney's bangs. Here are some pictures from the event.

Before-check out these long bangs!

During-there were even some tears. Sydney is not a big fan of people messing with her hair.

And after-so cute! Nice work Gram-o!

Bears....oh my!

Our neighbor across the street (Steve) called us at 9:30pm this evening to tell us there was a bear in his driveway. Whoaaaa?? Sure enough we looked out the window and there was a bear walking around his driveway. It was a black bear and he wasn't afraid of us. How do I know this? Oh yes, Anthony and my father in law David decided to walk outside to check it out. The bear started walking towards them and they came inside. About 45 minutes later Anthony noticed the bear was on our front steps. The bear then walked towards our next door neighbor's home, in the meantime David decided to go outside and bang on pots and pans to scare him away while Anthony "protected" him and the bear ran off into the neighborhood. I'm not sure why everyone felt the need to go outside WHILE THERE WAS A BEAR ON THE LOOSE-umm, hello? Anyway, heads up that there is a bear on the loose in our neighborhood in case anyone decides to visit. Scary.

Speaking of wild animals-Steve saw a bobcat midday a couple weeks ago, right in front of our houses. Two years ago there was a deer in front of Steve's house during a winter snow, and of course we have the usual raccoons and coyotes we hear every once in a while. I consider our home in the suburbs, but apparently we live in the great wild. Geesh.

Baby you can drive my car...

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at our home with Gram-o, Pap-o, Uncle Eddie, Aunt Alisa and of course us three. Nana and Papa came over for dessert. Gram-o pretty much did everything with exception to the mashed potatoes Anthony made and the chocolate pie I made. Gram-o is amazing! The food was great and we are glad to have plenty of leftovers. Thank you Gram-o for the exceptionally delicious meal!

Here are some pictures from our day
